Road To Pax: Behind The Scenes During Pax

Hey Everyone!

Some of you might recognize my name from posting news on the forums and website. Some of you might even recognize me as being frustrating to play with (Sorry!).  Most of you probably don’t know who I am. I’m Jackie aka Ghoul and currently the Marketing Assistant at Kiz Studios! So, what do I do?

Picture me as the Zert of the Marketing Department.  I assist Deleeted in bringing you all the SMC news and also help Smashlee get our marketing plans together to spread the SmashMuck cheer!

Oh! And I have a penchant for pushing my enemies off of cliffs, don’t forget about that. ;)

I also play a big part in the social media for all the games from Kiz Studios. So whenever the team goes out of town, I man the fort while everyone is expanding their knowledge and GETTING SMASHED (That’s our motto, right?)

Many of you might not know this, but I didn’t join the team as a full-time employee. I was actually brought in as a PR/Communications intern. Look at me now! I’m living the life at my cluttered desk, fiddling with my tweet deck. Yeah, I imagined my life panning out this way.

But in all honestly, I’m very thankful for the job I have. I came on during Closed-Beta and Open-Beta for SmashMuck Champions and for the launch of our first mobile game Critter Escape (The same time as my birthday, mind you. What a way to celebrate!). Now I’m still here for the PAX East Launch/Closed Beta for Steam. Despite my desperate attempts to convey my disappointment about being left behind while my team is having the time of their life, I wouldn’t change my experiences at Kiz Studio, because I love my job. I don’t think many people can say that they come to work at 10am wearing whatever they want and play video games for a living.
